The cap is at first cylindrical or flattened-conical in shape, later convex-spread, 6-13 cm in diameter, covered with scales. The leg is long (6-12 cm), thin, white. In young champignons, the edges of the cap are connected to the stem by a solid white blanket, which later comes off, forming a solid round ring on the stem. The pulp is whitish, soft, with a pleasant aroma of almonds or anise.Champignons are dried, frozen, and prepared into aromatic soups, side dishes and sauces.
